 Cars, oysters and champagne... after a long hiatus chanced upon another car show here in Moscow on April 22, 2023, and so here is a photo dump

 It was something of a cars and coffee meet but specifically for low cars, what do you call them, stanced?

BBC Website - Is the humble Lada now a classic car?

An article on the BBC Website about the Lada which is to be commended.

However it still regurgitates a lot of BS claiming the Lada is on some dumb list of worst cars ever produced and other stuff not to mention the condescending British snotty tone.

Fact is the Lada - any Lada - is in many ways better than anything the British indigenous automotive industry (now deceased) ever managed to produce, not to mention that fact that British-designed cars always manage to end up looking a special kind of butt-ugly... well, in my opinion anyway.

Lada Niva with curtains

From my car-spotting blog, here is a well used-up but still sold Lada Niva with curtains in the window.

I say "Lada Niva" but the proper name for this long-running VAZ-2121 model is "Lada 4x4" as the "Niva" name migrated to Lada's Chevy Niva in the early 1990s which is the same car but with a different body.

This is a regular 3-door Lada 4x4, there is also a 5-door version and two (3-dr and 5-dr) Urban versions.

The biggest automotive news here in Russia today September 25, 2015 is definitely the launch of production of the LADA Vesta.

The PR Department of AvtoVAZ (the maker of the Lada) has a dump of LADA Vesta pictures, and here are all of them.

Lada Priora: White Body, Black Roof New Paint Scheme

Here is a bit of automotive news courtesy OAO AvtoVAZ, the maker of the Lada.

A new two-tone paint scheme for the Lada Priora - white body-black roof - has been announced.
