Doug now claims he says PHAETON correctly.

Yes, I am saying "Phaeton" correctly. No, it is not "fay-tin." Yes, it has three syllables. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/phaeton

But guess what! He's still wrong as is merriam-webster that he quotes.

It's definitely FAY-t(o)n and TWO syllables which is the more acceptable pronunciation.
