Things are heating up in Nomad world.
Bob has been accused by certain unnamed members of the tribe of giving out locations and coordinates of best free camping spots.
Nice view up Bob's nose with mustache growing right up into it.
Yes, I am saying "Phaeton" correctly. No, it is not "fay-tin." Yes, it has three syllables. https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/phaeton

Inspired by traveling YouTubers like Nomatic Fanatic and AdventureVanMan,
Schaeffer and his partner Sarah Lacefield left their day jobs (he sold
fragrances, she worked in retail), sold their Honda Civic, and headed
west in a Toyota Land Cruiser they had purchased from a highway
patrolman.
After trying to find work on the coast of Oregon, Schaefer says he and
Lacefield “ended up going broke,” and decided to drive to Quartzsite,
Arizona to meet up with hundreds of other “van-lifers,” who they said
were planning to spend the winter there.
Thanks, Elon!Who has Musk conned?
Once a mere over-promiser, Mr. Musk has become a con artist. Model 3 reservation holders had confidence that their deposits would reserve them a vehicle but instead of holding the deposits in escrow Tesla appears to have spent the money on general operations. His march across this Rubicon continues. Roadster Founder customers have been invited to pay full price for a vehicle less likely to arrive shortly after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics than shortly before the 2024 Paris Olympics. Tesla again does not appear to have guaranteed that the $250,000 deposits, being five times the median household income in the USA, will be set aside. Many reports have called this a stealth cash raise. If they were in error, Mr. Musk would have directed vigorous invective at them by now.
Toyota City, Japan, October 23, 2017―Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) launched a new taxi vehicle, the "JPN Taxi." The new model became available today at Toyota and Toyopet dealers nationwide.
The JPN Taxi embodies the spirit of Japanese hospitality. It was developed to provide usability and comfort to a wide range of people, including children, seniors, wheelchair users, and visitors to Japan from abroad. Toyota aims to change Japan's landscape, develop barrier-free cities, and transform Japan into a tourist-oriented country by promoting the widespread use of its JPN Taxis.
The new model showcases a people-friendly, universal design that provides usability and comfort to a wide range of people through continual innovations and improvements, from grab handles to the overall vehicle structure. Design features include a low, flat floor, making it easy for customers to ingress and egress from the taxi, a wide-opening, power rear sliding door (left side only) and space to accommodate wheelchair users3.
In addition, the taxi is designed to beautifully complement the cityscape while at the same time being easily recognizable as a taxi. This is achieved in part due to the car's styling, which aims to transcend trends and serve as a timeless classic model, as well as the body's deep indigo (koiai) tone, a traditional color that has long been a symbol of Japan.
Furthermore, this model offers the driver an optimal range of vision, in part through innovations to the position and shape of the pillars and the use of fender mirrors. As a design priority for this taxi model, functionality was improved by positioning the dashboard instruments and other devices in the taxi to allow easy access, including the placement of the GPS system and taxi meter in a spot that is easy for customers to see.
Environmental performance and power performance were both taken to new levels. By employing a newly developed liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) hybrid system, the new model offers 19.4 km/L4 fuel economy and sharply reduced CO2 emissions. Enhancements were made to safety equipment, including adding the Toyota Safety Sense C package and six SRS airbags as standard features.
Toyota began its venture into the taxi industry in Japan in 1936 with the introduction of the Toyota Model AA. In 1953, Toyota released the Toyopet Super RH model and other vehicles, which have become fixtures helping transport many people over the years. Toyota taxis have and will continue to travel greater distances than the average vehicle and be used in the toughest road conditions. This could be considered the starting point for automobiles that pursue a vision of ideal automotive development.
Toyota looks forward to exhibiting its JPN Taxi at the 45th Tokyo Motor Show 2017, and also plans to use the taxi to greet visitors from around the world in 2020, when Tokyo hosts the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

In addition, the wheelbase has lengthened, the height difference between the scuff plate and floor has decreased, and the height of the door opening has increased, all of which are refinements improving the rear seat riding experience. The intricately glamorous and chic exterior is highlighted by traditional Japanese design elements used throughout the car including the grille and black trim on the rear combination lamps. The interior features a raised ceiling design and exclusive fabric while the adjustable rear seats (with massage function), are upgraded with a power leg rest for first-class comfort and a sophisticated riding experience.
...The second is that we are facing a set of challenges – challenges that are holding us back from working as effectively and efficiently as we would like. We have raised these issues repeatedly , but they remain unresolved. Your guidance navigating them would be invaluable as we work to become the most profitable and productive auto company in the U.S .
One of the most serious issues concerns our health and safety . In 2015, the last full year for which data is available, w e ha d an injury rate that was far higher than the industry average. For that year , data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics indicates that our injury rate was higher than that of sawmills and slaughter houses. Accidents happen every day. Severe incidents frequently impact moral e and cause delays in production. We are losing great workers who are valuable to both our production team and to their families while they spend time on medical leave, recovering from preventable injuries. Legal obligations aside , it is bot h financially prudent and morally imperative for management to inform workers of the risks we face on the job.
The results of third - party health and safety audits that have been conducted at the facility in the past three years should be readily available to workers and Board members , so that we may understand the risks that experts have identified and monitor progress toward improvement. If it is to be effective, f rontline Tesla workers need to have access to, and a voice in, the company’s safety plan (kno wn in California as the Injury and Illness Prevention Program) , and the ability to review accurate data about the progress we are making toward those goals. Along with access to good information about hazards and injuries, a second cornerstone of a good health and safety program is worker participation in identifying solutions. Effective health and safety programs in manufacturing empower workers to make decisions about equipment, rotation schedules, ergonomics and more. We urge you to make our safety your priority as Board members, to demand information from management about health and safety issues in the factory, and to hold management accountable to best practices.
The second challenge we have revolves around the process through which workers are evaluated and promoted . There is currently no clear policy for how workers like ourselves might advance at Tesla. There are no guidelines for what is expected of us, or what defines success. Many of us have worked hard for years with the vague promise of a raise , to no end . We experience a great deal of workforce turnover due to the financial insecurity that we face at Tesla, and we strongly believe that a defined understanding of success and reward will have an impact on product quality . Petitions have been delivered to management asking for clarity on this issue, but we have heard nothing. We encourage you to ask management to provide answers to our questions, so we can move forward with the knowledge that hard work will be rewarded, and so we can plan for our families’ future s .
Isn't that clear? You don't get promoted at Tesla. You are just worked to near death and then thrown out by making you quit. The second challenge we have revolves around the process through which workers are evaluated and promoted . There is currently no clear policy for how workers like ourselves might advance at Tesla. Many of us have worked hard for years with the vague promise of a raise , to no end .

The Illinois man who opened fire on a Republican congressional baseball team in Virginia Wednesday lived in a van for three months, the FBI said.
Inside James Hodgkinson’s van was a white poster with a cartoon image of President Trump that read "Chicken in Chief,” according to photos taken of the vehicle.
Other photos revealed the van belonging to the raging GOP critic had dark curtains and blinds on the inside.
The 66-year-old had been staying in the van since March, the FBI said.
